High Cholesterol I took Statin Drugs for over three years. In my 2nd year of taking them i become weak and started falling down and was unable to get up, so i ended up in the hospital for over a month. The doctors said they didn't know what had caused the problem. But by the end of the 3rd year of taken statin drugs and another trip for the same reason i stopped taking statin drugs and now i'm getting better. If you are taking Statin Drugs and are falling down i would stop taking Statin Drugs. I told the doctor that i would not take anymore statin drugs and i would rather go out of this world being able to walk and not falling down and having to call for help to get back up. I also told him that just as meny people die from low cholesterol as high.
